Obama and Media Orgasmic Over Unemployment Numbers - The Current Economic Reality
85US Economic Train Wreck
The Problem
The unemployment rate has been masterfully reduced to 8.5 percent, from an 8.7 percent (revised up from 8.6%). Obama and the media become orgasmic on the fact that millions of Americans cannot find jobs. There are 6 million fewer jobs available today than there were three years ago. The real unemployment rate is over 15 percent when calculating unemployed people that have lost their benefits and are no longer looking for work.
Why do the media and Obama become excited about 8.5 percent unemployment when in fact they know the number is fraudulent? The fact is that they do not care about the number of people unemployed or that the "real" unemployment rate is approximately 15 percent according to John Williams of Shadow Stats (www.shadowstats.com).
The media is building a narrative that Obama’s Marxist socialist, predicated on Keynesian economic theory -- An economic theory stating that active government intervention in the marketplace and monetary policy is the best method of ensuring economic growth and stability (www.investopedia.com), economic policies are working and as evidence they point to the fraudulent unemployment number. The question is how is it possible that unemployment is falling, when there are more Americans unemployed now than when Queen Obama took the throne?
First of all, as people fall off the unemployment roll because they have consumed all their available unemployment insurance, they are no longer counted as unemployed. Also, under the Obama Administration there are 6 million fewer jobs currently than when Obama took office. This however is curious, because if the there were the same number of jobs now as when Obama took office the unemployment rate would over be 11 percent instead of 8.5 percent even using the "official" unemployment calculation.
The facts indicate that this is not a time of celebration. Obama and the media should put their cloths back on and put out their cigarettes because black unemployment is over 16 percent and the teenage unemployment is near 25 percent, with the percentage of teenagers participating in the labor force falling.
Furthermore, the current unemployment figures are gimmicks. For one thing these numbers include part time workers that always increase during the holiday period. Hence, they are later laid off. During February there these people will have been laid off and there will be an upward adjustment made in the official unemployment number for 2011 as the government post actual population rate changes that they previously "estimated".
For example, during the holidays there are 42,000 temporary messenger jobs created. These are not full time permanent jobs. Retailers also added 28,000 temp jobs during the holidays in December, while having added 39,000 jobs in November. More than 13 million Americans remain unemployed. Over 8 million Americans are working part time because they cannot find fulltime employment.
So of the 200,000 jobs alleged to have been created -- 42,000 are temporary messengers, 67,000 jobs are temporary retail holiday positions, and 24,000 bar and restaurant jobs for a total of approximately 133,000 temporary jobs. Therefore, there are approximately 67,000 actual jobs which were created in construction and manufacturing. At this rate the economy will not recover until 2025.
As for the manufacturing jobs it is unknown in what industry they were created. It is necessarily important that we know what type of manufacturing jobs were created. If the jobs were generated in the solar panel industry it is likely that those jobs will be lost and if they are not lost the jobs were highly subsidized by taxpayer money invested by government into solar companies. If the manufacturing jobs were created in GM’s Volt project, they will maintain their jobs for the near term in order to fix the 8,000 cars recalled that catch fire. After that, with poor sales and GM’s stock price declining over 39 percent it is only a matter of time before GM files for bankruptcy again.
Then there is the Kodak bankruptcy hitting another icon American corporation that pioneered the photo industry 133 years ago. Kodak is one of the largest employers in Rochester, NY. Their bankruptcy will not only impact the employees of Kodak, but the secondary jobs associated with Kodak employees.
This is a manufacturing and R&D company that created thousands of jobs and will be laying-off employees that earn an above average wage. Also, Bank of America will be laying off 30,000 people in 2012. Boeing is closing a plant in Kansas which will result in over 2,000 people losing their jobs in 2012 and will impact another 7,500 jobs.
So the employment outlook for 2012 is poor at best. The jobs that Comrade Obama is taking credit for creating are not the type of jobs that create economic activity. Jobs at McDonalds and cashiers at Walmart are not what economies are built on. Furthermore, whether Facebook goes public or not, an economy is not built on technology companies, especially tech companies that do nothing for the economy. This analysis can be proved by answering the question: "if the internet were shut down, would Facebook impact the American economy?" The answer is NO.
The Solution:
There are two primary sectors in America that generate substantive economic growth – manufacturing and construction. These two industrial sectors built the United States. Companies like Hughes Tool company in Texas manufactured oil drilling equipment for the Texas and Oklahoma oil industry. Today that drilling equipment is manufactured in other countries.
If the US government allows private American industry to take advantage of the oil, natural gas and coal reserves in America and begin opening up oil drilling, exploration and refining, we begin to develop a base to support economic growth.
There has been a relentess push by the Obama Administration to identify and carve out special treatment for "green" energy and other alleged green industries or more accurately - green projects, such as the GM Volt electric car. When the so-called "green" electric cars analyzed to include the totality of the electric care, the only conclusion can be that there is no such thing as a green car.
For instance, all electric cars are actually operating on coal, predicated on the fact that nearly 50 percent of all electricity is generated from coal powered electrical plants. In addition to this the electric car is made of plastic which is a manufactured using petroleum based products. Steel used for the frame and engine are still mined and manufactured using fossil fuels. And when you calculate the amount of energy used to manufacture the "green" electric car the claim that these vehicles are green is at best a delusional fantasy. So it is important to rationally evaluate the benefits of so-called green products.
In conclusion, without a new energy policy, increased constructioin activity, a reduction of laws and regulations, the dismantling of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Labor Relations Board, the economy is going to continue down the path of destruction due to Comrade Obama’s Marxist socialist economic policies which have been destroying jobs and sending them to places like China and New Zealand. In fact, General Motors just released plans for transferring the manufacturing of the Volt to China.
And in order to ensure there is no misunderstanding, there was no jobs growth in the latest erroneous unemployment numbers. There was no decline in the unemployment rate. There are no real jobs being created that will fundamentally have a positive impact on the economy. And most unfortunately the current employment data is being manufactured by the Obama Administration and the Pravda media spin machine is attempting to convince you that the information is real.
